Must be careful saying "Brett is now gone" - some people might think the wrong thing. They could think that you are an evil genius scientist who came up with a plan, late in your laboratory one night, to disable him from blogging, all with a plan to take over with power and force while laughing loudly (Who-Who-Boo-Hah-Ha!).
Or it could be like the music group "The Standards" - five brothers from Idaho who released a CD with only four of them pictured on the cover. On the inside they had a picture of the fifth brother, dressed in his suit, and with the description of his name, year, and the name of his mission. Many of their non-member fans didn't understand that he had left on a mission, and send their cards and messages of condolences for the death of their brother.
So I know what you meant, but somebody else in the world wide web might get confused about Brett "being gone." :)
