Common Sense

So yesterday my march madness bracket was killed. I thought I had it in the bag but a few teams lost that shouldn't have. I should know by now that no march madness bracket that is good has common sense, that's why mine is so bad, hence, I have common sense. By Christoph and Brett, mostly Christoph

Houston Texas, It Ain't no Thing

So, even though everybody already knows, I'm going to the Texas Houston Mission speaking Spanish on May 26. So Houston is no Boise Idaho but I think I'll live. Technically today is my 6 month surgiversary but 13 days ago my doctor set me free. I've only done three really different things. I shot a real basketball for a while, I've done pushups, and, against everybody's will besides the doctor, I've done pullups. Nobody understands, last summer I knew I didn't have a shoulder, but they didn't believe me. I've now got the tightest shoulder on earth, and they still don't believe me. Time has taken its effect but the PT said if I get through the MTC time will really kick in and my shoulder will be even better than it already is, but can I really wait that long? I have to go biking, play baseball, and live before my mission. I've been a boring ping pong player for 4 months now and I wanna come alive for 3 months.

One step closer to who knows where

So, I turned in my mission papers last Sunday. Some of my friends have had technical difficulties with the submission but somehow my papers got in 2 days earlier than they were supposed to. But, that means I should have my call on Wednesday. At pt people have been making guesses for me. So far South America is a favorite. I am so glad that this past week was really busy at school or else it could've been really long. Who knew lots of schoolwork and 2 tests could be a blessing? Luckily it wasn't a terrible week, just enough to keep me going, plus a little work, things worked out pretty perfect though.
I got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago today and had surgery above my eye. Actually that's misleading, it was a 5 minute surgery and i was awake. The worst was hearing the scissors, that was gross.

Bowling for Gimps

I failed to mention I went bowling for the first time in about a year last saturday night which was really expensive and busy. I was really nervous but Dr. Mortensen told me it would be therapy in itself, I just wanted to do more than nintendo and left handed ping pong, which I have mastered, sort of. Everybody said my first bowl looked like a Wii bowl. I think it sailed halfway down the lane but by the end of the night I was looking like a pro. I ended up with a 124 and finished in second place, I was completely surprised. The only other person to beat me was also a gimp, but it didn't really effect her.

CATCH up

Physical Therapy has been going really well. I saw the doctor on Tuesday and he is really happy. So he told me I could start throwing and so I threw twice this past week. It is pretty amazing because I haven't done it in 4 months and super not fun because my motion is pretty limited. The doctor said since I'm doing so well he will let me go a few more degrees on my motion. This will make throwing a ton easier.
Disneyland and Christmas were way fun especially with Gary and Traci! Talking to Kelli was awesome as well!

Finals, Pt, and a bunch of other stuff

The past month and a half have been a dream. I have had a whole lot to do. Turning in papers, studying for tests, and trying to relax over Thanksgiving. Things have been super crazy lately. Finals started yesterday and end tomorrow. I studied a ton last week and a little this week. I took my physical science test yesterday and got 105% on it. That will be my final grade but we think that's because he lost our other tests. I took biology this morning and as long as I pass the class I don't care what grade I get. I heard so many people say that they thought they would have to retake it again. I took half of math yesterday and I will finish the rest tonight. I think I aced yesterday's except for one question that I had no idea at all on. Tonight's is going to be really tough but i'm not too worried. Tomorrow I have my music final which shouldn't be too bad. Pretty much now that biology is over i'm not too worried about anything.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Gary and Traci have visited for the weekend. We got the Brio and Thomas out for Anna. She played with it every single hour she was here except when she was outside.

The last few days all she wanted to play with was the "Little Jeep," and the "Big Jeep. '' The "Big Jeep" is the four wheeler and the "Little Jeep" is one of those toy jeeps that you can ride in.

Pt and other tales

Pt is going great. It is pretty similar to last time around but this time I'm making some pretty big improvements which isn't too hard. I began with nothing and now I'm at something. But this time it seems like they are trying to get me all the way better. I have begun to get A-stym. They spread cocoa butter on me (which smells amazing) and they rub it into my skin with different tools. It is supposed to help with scar tissue which I have plenty of. But after it gets really swollen and sore, apparently that is how to get rid of scar tissue; get the blood flowing which causes swelling.

Other than that school is almost over! Once math and biology are over I will be glad. I don't think that any classes will be as hard as those 2 next semester.

Pt...Again...Third time around...and last

College gameday was so much fun! The signs were hilarious and a Ute fan got escorted out by a cop, what could be better? My friends and I got there a little after 8 and it was pretty packed. I'm really glad I went because that is a once in a lifetime opportunity and was extremely fun!
I began physical therapy on Friday and went again yesterday and will go tomorrow. I like it a lot and I already feel a difference. That's probably because I've done no exercise for 10 weeks andthere was no muscle at all.
"Mom, why didn't we take these pictures when I had to wear this thing?"
